Frampton 10K support for Stonehouse Rotary Community Awards

Frampton 10K is organised as a partnership between Stroud & District AC and the Stonehouse 41 Club and is a major fundraising activity for local charities. We are very grateful to the Frampton Estate and for the residents of Frampton and the local area who welcome us and come out to support the runners.  Last year’s race resulted in the presentation of a cheque for £1,250 from the Athletic Club to the 41 Club, who passed the money on to “Stroud & Stonehouse Rotary Community Awards” – an initiative from Rotary that delivers funds into our community by providing an opportunity for small local organisations to apply for grant funding. On 21st January I was delighted to be invited to the presentation of the grants by Stonehouse Rotary to see where our money will be making a difference. The successful bids came from:

1. Stonehouse Gardening Club

2. Arlingham Village Hall

3. Stonehouse Community Association

4. Kings Stanley Playgroup

5. Frampton Community Association

All very worthy causes from our local communities and all very grateful for the support from Rotary and our Club which will make big differences to them.
