Stroud & District AC Club Relays

As we move towards the end of January it is that time of year when the club looks toward the warmer weather and the events and races that we as a club will enter and compete in.

We are already beginning the planning for the following events and need to identify runners who want to take part.

Midlands Road relays - March 23rd – teams of 6 ladies or 12 men in a staged relay

Cotswold Way Association

I am delighted to confirm that Club has today become an affiliated member of the Cotswold Way Association after approval at this month's Committee meeting.  This charity was established a couple of years ago to ensure that this popular National Trail does not fall into disrepair due to lack of funding. To  date its projects include installing handrails and steps on tricky sections of the path, replacing stiles with gates, improving drainage at kissing gates and repairing a well used seat.

Stroud Trail races

We have been contacted by the Hop, Skip and Jump respite care organisation to offer our members the opportunity to raise money by running any of the Stroud Trail events for them.

Hop, Skip and Jump are the chosen Charity for these events and they would love to see some Stroud runners supporting them.

If you commit to raise money and run for them then you will get a FREE entry into either the Trail Quarter, Half or Marathon.
