Following the success of this year’s London Marathon the Club is proposing to put in place a policy relating to how the ballot for Club places that we receive from UKA is administered.
Historically, each year UKA provides one or two entries into the London Marathon to affiliated clubs including ours.
The number of places provided depends on the number of paid-up UKA affiliated members in the Club.
Last year Kirsty Woodwood-Owen was drawn from the hat for the one place we had and she successfully completed the Marathon last weekend.
The policy is being put together by a small working party and will be published next month but please be aware that it will most likely include the requirement that you have entered one of the London Marathon Ballots and failed to get a place.
The main ballot is open now and closes on Friday 3rd May at 5pm and you can enter here.
